THREE is an innovative new chamber group born through the collaboration of renowned soloists and good friends Leslie Newman, Guy Few and Nadina Mackie-Jackson. With a combined mastery of flute, trumpet, corno, bassoon, piano and human voice, THREE's programming is versatile and eclectic. It ranges from the masterpieces of Western Europe to Argentinean tangos to newly commissioned works by Canada's own composers. Formed in 2008, their performing schedule has quickly taken off with bookings at a variety of concert venues and festivals.

Winston Choi 'Solo Piano' 2010 Sunday

Canadian pianist Winston Choi is an inquisitive performer whose fresh approach to standard repertory, and masterful understanding and performance and commitment to works by living composers, makes him one of today's most dynamic young concert artists.
Known for his colorful approach to programming and insightful commentary from the stage, Choi has appeared in recital in Canada and Europe. He has been awarded numerous grants from the Canada Council For The Arts and is a core member of the new music ensemble Brave New Works. He tours regularly with his wife violinist Ming Huan Xu as Duo Diorama.

Anne-Julie Caron Percussionist, Marimba, with piano accompanist 2010 Saturday March 6 8:00 p.m.
Canadian percussionist Anne-Julie Caron has distinguished herself with her sensational performances that astonish with their depth, colour and sensitivity.
Mainly recognized as a marimba soloist, activities this year will include a concert tour of British Columbia, an appearance with Thirteen Strings in Ottawa, master classes, a recording with Radio Canada and the release of her first solo CD on the ATMA label. In 2003 she was awarded the highest mark ever given to a percussionist in the history of Quebec Conservatories. Anne-Julie has performed brilliantly in solo recitals as well as with orchestras including the Montreal and Quebec Symphony Orchestras and the Orchestre Metropolitan du Grand Montreal.

Violinist Mayumi Seiler, the artistic director of the Seiler Piano Trio, has been playing the violin since she was three years of age. She received her musical education at the renowned Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. Currently based in Toronto, Ms. Seiler travels throughout Europe, Japan, and North America. She is the Artistic Director and founder of Via Salzburg Chamber Music. Mayumi Seiler combines the technical excellence of the Orient with the grand chamber music heritage of Germany.
Pianist Angela Park is a prizewinner of numerous awards and competitions. She is a founding member of Made In Canada piano quartet. Angela received her M. Mus at the University of Toronto studying with William Aide and is currently completing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree under the guidance of Paul Stewart at the Université de Montréal, where she is a faculty lecturer in applied piano.
Canadian cellist Rachel Mercer made her European recital debut at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. She has performed around the world as soloist and chamber musician. As cellist of the Aviv String Quartet since 2002, Rachel is principal cello for the Via Salzburg chamber music concert series and the Group of Twenty-Seven chamber orchestra. She joined the Made in Canada piano quartet in 2008. She has recorded with the Aviv String Quartet and recently released her debut solo CD.
